In 1996, our family opened a small café in Statesville, North Carolina. Our intent was to offer the finest in casual gourmet lunches and outstanding catering services to a few regular clients; modest beginnings, to be sure. But eventually, word spread and we began to grow. Before we could spin around and click our heels, we were reaching for the stars—catering huge corporate events, tending to large weddings and feeding hungry teams with celebrity guests at major racing events.

In 2003, in order to spend more time as a family, we sold the café and spent lots of time wiggling our toes in warm Edisto Island, South Carolina sand. After a year's rest, we regrouped and refocused on again sharing our delicious gourmet goods with hungry guests.

Happily, we're now preparing our mouthwatering specialties for friends in two of our favorite places, Statesville, North Carolina (where we have reopened the Maple House Café) and Edisto Island, South Carolina. Over the course of time, one thing has never changed—our casual gourmet foods are as delicious and popular as ever!

From cocktail parties for friends at the beach to intimate fine dining at home or corporate lunches in the boardroom, Gala Gourmet knows how to do it—and do it with style. And, we have a repertoire of unusual hors d'oeuvres, exotic entrées and tempting desserts whose exquisite flavors and stunning presentations have won us countless kudos in the South.
